Zeolite is a crystal composed of silicon, aluminium, oxygen, etc. having numerous pores of molecular sizes and used as a "Sieve" or as a catalyst. Recently Zeolite has become very important in the field of synthetic chemistry centering around petrochemistry, so this model was developed. · Feature: The pores of Zeolite use as a "Sieve" are decided by oxygen sizes. This model is designed to represent oxygen only with round balls by nothing the size of oxygen. · Scale: 1 = 1cm, same as HGS Space-Filling Model. When used together, you can visualize action as molecular "Sieve"/catalyst.· Parts: Parts of this model are also useful to construct single crystals of silicon, cristobalite, tridymite, rock crystal of slicon, cristobalite, tridymite, rock crystal & other more complicated silicate models. |
